In April 2025, Martine and Bernard went on an economic yachtbuilding mission with the Dutch Superyacht builing sector to Italy together with Minister Klever.

Since 2002, Bernard has gained extensive experience in designing both the exterior and interior of yachts. By overseeing both aspects of the design process, Bernard is uniquely positioned to identify potential conflicts between interior yacht design with disciplines structure, insulation, piping, and ventilation at an early stage, as soon as technical information becomes available.
Approach focuses on close collaboration with the shipyard and all involved parties, with the highest priority placed on design clashes and delegering well-considered, integrated solutions. Bernard is known for his practical, solution-oriented mindset and his keen sense of aesthetics.
Sustainability is a core principle in Bernard’s design philosophy. Bernard prefers to work with circular and environmentally friendly materials, aiming for future-proof designs that are both functional and responsible.
Bernard prefers to be called an artist. He approaches the design of a yacht as an artist would, while also understanding that engineering and technical precision are essential in yacht building.

Bernard Kuipers create for 2026 12 new yachts designs. The range is is between 25-120 meters. Bernard’s trademark is orange. All 12 yachts will also be this year 2026 in orange! if you do not like orange no problem, Bernard kuipers will create it in other colours aswell!

• Between 1996 and 1997, I sailed with my landlord, who had built a 12-meter ketch sailboat. Our journey covered Southern Europe, West Africa, South America, navigating the Amazon rainforest, Suriname, the Caribbean, and Bermuda. Due to engine trouble caused by contaminated diesel fuel obtained in Venezuela, we were unable to dock in Bermuda. We continued sailing across the North Atlantic Ocean, reaching the Azores, and finally returned home via IJmuiden.
